Sakuratsumi - Feudal Japan Prop Art Challenge

I'm super stoked about how this model based on Roberto Bianchi's Sakuratsumi (luxury tea set) concept turned out. (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/0XngQ8) Check out the full challenge thread here:

I was able to get a lot of the material properties across that I wanted to highlight; like the jade dragon, the lacquered wood, and the painted porcelain.

The light set up was intended to emulate a tea set located in a dim room with sources of illumination spilling in from the outside. The fine piece of craftsmanship would sit there ready to be used, and used often. Signs of wear are obvious in the lacquer, scratched metals, and aged leather handle wraps, but that all adds to its uniqueness.
